Hi Guys,
I have a 69 Firebird with a 3-speed Hurst shifter.
Here is what happened.

The car was in gear ), pushed in the clutch and pumped the gas a little and started her up.

My driveway has a slight incline so the car started to slowly inch its’ way back.

I think between trying to keep the car from rolling, stalling, getting in neutral, and getting the emergency brake pushed in all with just two feet,  I’m now stuck in reverse.

Can anyone suggest how I should get it out of being stuck in gear?

I plan on picking up some jack stands tomorrow so I can crawl under there and see what I can see, perhaps loosen or unbolt the shifter to get it unstuck.

Thanks in advance,
Bob

Hi,

Is the trans actualy in reverse or just the shifter? Also have you tried moving the car a little?
