Will that work in my 1968 firebird is there any mods that I will need to make it work? Is this a true pontiac engine?

If it is a 1977 model Pontiac engine, it will require mount adapters to be able to use the 68 2 bolt mounts. Pontiac used the dual bolt or old bolt pattern up 'til about 1974 if memory serves me right, that will bolt right up.
